Understand the requirement
CE marking is not a universal certificate purchased from a central authority. It is the manufacturer’s declaration that a product meets the applicable EU requirements that call for the mark. Not every product should carry CE marking, and some conformity-assessment routes require an appropriately designated notified body while others do not.
We begin with the intended use, design and destination market, then help organise a requirements matrix and technical-file index. This gives your engineering team a structured view of the evidence already available and the work still needed. Product changes, instructions and labelling are reviewed as part of the same file, rather than as last-minute artwork decisions.

Frequently asked questions
Does Rombo issue a CE certificate for every product?
No. CE marking is a conformity process, not a universal certificate. The required assessment and any third-party involvement depend on the product legislation.
Does CE marking mean the EU approved the product?
No. The European Commission expressly distinguishes CE marking from an authority’s safety approval.
Can an existing laboratory report be reused?
It must first be checked for the actual product, configuration and applicable requirements. A report alone does not automatically complete the technical file.
Important to know
The service title follows common terminology; our scope is CE conformity-preparation support. Manufacturer responsibility and any required notified-body assessment remain separate.
