About this service

Container Loading Supervision (CLS)— also known as a Container Loading Check (CLC)—ensures that the correct products, in the correct quantities and proper packaging, are safely and accurately loaded into shipping containers. This service provides assurance that the goods are properly handled and that the container is securely sealed by the trucking or shipping company before dispatch.

What We Do During Loading

Our inspectors are present on-site throughout the loading process to confirm:

  • The correct products and quantities are being loaded
  • The goods meet the required quality and packing standards
  • The container is clean, dry, and structurally suitable for transport
  • The loading is carried out using proper securing methods
  • All steps are documented until the container is sealed and leaves the facility

Once loading is completed, the container is sealed with the shipping line’s seal and/or an inspection company seal. This signifies that the supplier has officially delivered the goods and they are now under the care of the shipping company. You will still need the Bill of Lading to claim the shipment.

When to Use Container Loading Supervision

This service is highly recommended for:

  • Full Container Load (FCL) shipments
  • High-value goods
  • First-time suppliers
  • Situations where shipment accuracy is critical
  • Buyers seeking stronger fraud prevention and assurance against shortages

What Our Inspection Covers

During a Container Loading Supervision, we verify:

  • Container condition: suitability, cleanliness, structural integrity

  • Loading quantity: confirming the exact number of cartons/units loaded
  • Handling issues: recording any damages or irregularities during loading
  • Documentation: detailed photographic records of the entire loading process
  • Container sealing: witnessing and recording seal numbers upon completion
